Dr Mann Virdee
science + tech meets geopolitics
Head of Science and Technology at The Entrepreneurs Network, and Sir Isaac Newton Adjunct Fellow in Science, Innovation and Technology at the Council on Geostrategy.
I currently lead The Entrepreneurs Network’s science and technology work. I previously led the Council on Geostrategy’s work exploring how the United Kingdom can build a more competitive and resilient science and technology base. Before that, I worked at RAND Europe, the UK Parliament, and the Parliamentary Network on the World Bank and IMF. My research has covered areas such as AI, energy and infrastructure, quantum computing, R&D, 5G, space, the life sciences, civil service reform and Foreign Direct Investment. I am part of the 2026 cohort of the Foundation for Science and Technology’s Future Leaders programme.
